2024 Veteran Banner Program

To commemorate this year’s Remembrance Day, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95 in partnership with the Town of Smiths Falls and the Downtown Business Association are proud to launch the Annual Veteran Banner Program that will honour and remember local veterans who willingly served or gave their lives in service to Canada and continue to stand for our freedom.

The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum is pleased to announce the winners of the 2024 Rideau Artist of the Year Competition. Almost 40 area artists braved the weather on September 7th & 8th in this en plein air competition. The Mayor has proclaimed September 30, 2024 as Truth and Reconciliation Day in the Town of Smiths Falls.

2024 Photo Contest "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"

The Town of Smiths Falls is excited to launch the 2024 “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” photo contest that aims to collect the 12 best photos of Smiths Falls for the 2025 Municipal Calendar.

The 12 photos are selected through an evaluation process by the Economic Development and Tourism department and the photographers of the 12 shots will each receive $50 in Downtown Dollars as well as photo credit in the Municipal Calendar.
