The Haunted Heritage House
The Museum invites you to some thrilling nights of fright on October 17,18, 24, 25 from 7 PM to 9 PM, at 11 Old Slys Road. Tiptoe through the corridors of an 1860s home, where actors and ghosts will greet you in unsuspecting ways. Groups will be sent through individually to offer a completely spoiler-free experience to the home. With over 40 volunteers, this event will be sure to scare you into the Halloween season. The museum will offer seasonal treats and homemade apple cider, available for purchase.
Tickets for the Haunted Heritage House are $10 per person and are available for sale on sfhauntedhouse.eventbrite.ca. Tickets will also be available at the door, on a first come, first serve basis. This event usually sells out and it is strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
Smiths Falls Ghost Tales
For those who are looking for less screams, the museum recommends booking a museum Ghost Tour. Guests will discover tales of ghostly rumors and whispers from the area and the museum. Tours are available for $10 per person on October 9, 7 PM to 9 PM or by appointment.
Community Pumpkin Carving Contest
Show off your Jack-o-lantern creations in a Community Pumpkin Carving Contest. Entries for the Community Pumpkin Carving Contest can be dropped off to the museum on October 23 and will be displayed on the grounds until October 31 for public voting. A voting drop box can be found on site.
