LAND NEEDS STUDY

NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE

The Town of Smiths Falls will be holding a Public Information Centre (PIC) to present and discuss the interim report for the Land Needs Study project. The study forecasts anticipated residential, commercial and industrial land needs in the Town over the next 25 years, which will help inform long range planning decisions for the Town as a whole, as well as undeveloped areas within the Town boundaries.

Please note: Due to continuing efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect individuals, the meeting will be held virtually.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the PIC is to provide the public with an overview of the forecasting and analysis provided through the interim report which was released on March 8th, 2023. Consultation through this process will validate the findings of the interim Land Needs Study report, or inform changes prior to Council’s final consideration.

You are invited to participate in the PIC by attending electronically via virtual meeting. The session will include a presentation about the Land Needs Study and the interim report. There will also be a question-and-answer session to address any questions from the community regarding the interim report for the Land Needs Study project.
