Media Release: Temporary Closure of Memorial Community CentreThe Town of Smiths Falls has temporarily closed the Memorial Community Centre arena -including the concourse- following an unusual incident that occurred during play earlier this afternoon. During a regularly scheduled ice rental, a puck deflected off the crossbar of the net, striking the sprinkler system located in the ceiling high above the playing surface.
