  • Spirit of the Drum Powwow Cancelled for 2024

    The powwow was imagined by the Indigenous Studies program at Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute with the objective of educating and sharing First Nations culture with youth and the community.  The event is in partnership with the Town of Smiths Falls, and an indigenous advisor from Pikwakanagan First Nations Reserve.

  • New Online Marriage Application Process

    Included in 35 participating municipalities across Ontario, the Town now offers an online marriage application process for soon-to-be married couples. This pilot program brought together by the province is being introduced through a phased-in implementation, with province-wide expansion targeted by early 2025.

    The reconstruction of George Street, between Strathcona Street and William Street West has been awarded to Campbell’s Trucking Ltd. Works commenced on May 21, 2024, and are anticipated to be completed this fall.

    Smiths Falls welcomes Still Standing Comedian Jonny Harris on May 8th for a night of laughter and entertainment! This is a free event for ages 12+, which will be taking place at the Youth Arena at 7 PM.
