Project Overview
The Town of Smiths Falls is undertaking Phase 1 of the Trunk Watermain and Sewer Separation Project to support the long-term servicing needs of the community and improve municipal infrastructure.
This project; being the first of three phases, includes sanitary sewer repairs on Rideau Avenue South, the construction of a new trunk watermain connecting the elevated water storage tank located at 12 Air Care Drive to the existing trunk watermain on Rideau Avenue South, the construction of a distribution watermain to service properties on Lorne Street, the construction of a multi-use pathway connecting Air Care Drive to Lorne Street, and the full reconstruction of Lorne Street in Smiths Falls.
The project is intended to improve the reliability and performance of the Town’s water and wastewater infrastructure while supporting future growth, active transportation, and long-term service delivery needs.
