Old Home Week 2025, a celebration held only every 25 years, is just around the corner on August 2-9, 2025. It all started in 1925 with an invitation to past residents to come home for a week of festivities and reunions.

The Town of Smiths Falls and the Old Home Week Committee extend their sincere gratitude to the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund (OCAF) for their generous support of Old Home Week 2025, a week-long celebration of community, culture, and connection.

With the help of OCAF, the Town and its partners are proud to present a dynamic slate of programming from August 2–9, 2025, including live music, family-friendly activities, and cultural showcases that reflect the vibrant spirit of Smiths Falls and.

The Smiths Falls Heritage Museum invites artists and the public to the picturesque grounds of the museum and Old Slys Rapids and Lock Station on Saturday, June 7th to create an original work of art that captures the beauty of the Rideau Canal in Smiths Falls. This location showcases a beautiful stone train bridge, rapids, natural wildlife, built heritage and of course the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Town of Smiths Falls, in partnership with ontrac Employment Services, the Smiths Falls District Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Advisory Centre, and the Downtown Smiths Falls Business Association, is pleased to invite local residents to the Job and Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, April 23, from 1:00 p.m.

The Town will be transformed into a winter wonderland, offering a variety of family-friendly events, activities, and entertainment at multiple locations throughout downtown Smiths Falls, and at the Memorial Community Centre.
