Media Release: The Keepers Wildlife Rescue Event
Get ready for a wild day of adventure, discovery and family fun when The Keepers Wildlife Rescue comes to the Smiths Falls Youth Arena on Sunday, September 6!
Hosted by the Town of Smiths Falls Community Services Department, this exciting, free community event will give residents the opportunity to meet amazing animals, learn about wildlife conservation and dinosaurs, and experience engaging live presentations and entertainment throughout the day.
The event will feature interactive animal displays with live educational presentations and demonstrations, giving families the opportunity to learn more about the animals and their habitats. Guests will also have opportunities for animal meet-and-greets throughout the day, creating memorable experiences for animal lovers of all ages.
And that's not all! Families can also enjoy special meet-and-greet opportunities with three larger-than-life characters: Bee the Transformer, Duke the Dino and Rescue Pup!
Three exciting showtimes — including a sensory-friendly experience
The Keepers Wildlife Rescue will present three shows throughout the day:
• 12:00 p.m. — Sensory Show: A sensory-friendly presentation designed to provide a more comfortable experience for guests who may benefit from a quieter environment and reduced sensory stimulation.
• 2:00 p.m. — Full Lights & Sound Show: An exciting, high-energy production featuring lights and sound.
• 4:00 p.m. — Full Lights & Sound Show: A second opportunity to experience the full production.
Between showtimes, families can explore the live animal displays and presentations, meet the animals and enjoy the character meet-and-greets.
“We’re thrilled to bring The Keepers Wildlife Rescue to Smiths Falls for a day that combines education, entertainment and hands-on experiences,” said Stephanie Clark, Director of Community Services. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for families to discover more about wildlife and conservation while enjoying an exciting show and meeting some very special animal ambassadors. With activities happening throughout the day, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.”
From fascinating wildlife and conservation education to dinosaurs, live presentations and character appearances, The Keepers Wildlife Rescue promises an exciting day for the whole family.
Admission is completely FREE, thanks to the Town of Smiths Falls Community Services Department.
