    On the 9th of June 2024 Smiths Falls Police attended a residence on Smiths Falls Avenue after a report of a fully engulfed fire. Smiths Falls Police and Smiths Falls Fire Service commenced an investigation into the cause of the fire with Ontario Fire Marshall’s office.

    AMBULANCE ASSIST CALL LEADS TO CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION

    On June 5 2024, the Smiths Falls Police Service responded with ambulance to a Broadview Avenue address regarding a female with injuries. Upon arrival, it was evident to the officers that the female had sustained injuries during a domestic dispute.

  • Heritage Conservation District Study Questionnaire

    On May 30th, from 5-7 pm, the Town of Smiths Falls Municipal Heritage Committee hosted a Public Information Centre in the Town Hall's Welcome Centre to gather comments and suggestions from residents and businesses alike about the Downtown Core Heritage Conservation District Study (HCD) currently underway.  The well-attended event established open dialogue about this exciting project that outlined what an HCD can do for a community if awarded a designation.
