Memorial Community Centre (MCC), 71 Cornelia Street, West

The Memorial Community Centre features an NHL-sized ice surface with seating for 1500 people. Home to the Smiths Falls Jr. A and Jr. B Bears Hockey Club. Home to the Smiths Falls Senior "A" Rideaus Hockey Club. The facility includes an indoor multi-speed track.

Youth Arena (YA), 71-A Cornelia Street West

Youth Arena facility features an ice surface sized at 185' x 80' with seating for 300 people. 

Dry Floor Rentals

• Memorial Community Centre available June to July.
• Youth Arena available April to September. 
• Youth and adult rental rates are available.

Hall Rentals 

• Memorial Community Centre is 3,098 square feet with a maximum capacity of 150 people. 
• Youth Arena is 1,950 square feet with a maximum capacity of 100 people.
• Kitchen access available upon request.
• Cost per hour $55.00 plus HST.

Gerry Lowe Memorial Rink of Dreams, 150 Elmsley Street

Rink of Dreams is an outdoor multi-purpose space created in partnership with the Gerry Lowe Committee and the Sen's Foundation. This outdoor rink is open for public use year round. Enjoy ice hockey and public skating in the winter and basketball and ball hockey in the spring, summer, and fall.

Currently open for Summer activities.

For your safety, we kindly ask that you refrain from using the rink during inclement weather, ice maintenance, or outside of scheduled times. Please note that the ice surface is unsupervised, and use is at your own risk.

NOTICE TO PARTICIPANTS

Participation in Town of Smiths Falls drop-in recreation programs and use of Town recreation facilities is voluntary and at your own risk.

By participating, you acknowledge that recreational activities involve inherent risks, including risk of personal injury, illness, property damage, or death. You are responsible for determining whether you are physically able to participate safely and for using the facilities and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Participants are expected to follow all posted rules and the directions of Town staff. Anyone who fails to do so may be required to leave the facility.

The Town of Smiths Falls assumes no responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in drop-in programs or use of its recreation facilities, except where required by law.

Public Roller Skating

$2.00 per skater. A public roller skate is an open, unstructured recreational skating session available to members of the general public of all ages and skill levels, focused on leisure roller skating and general enjoyment of the dry floor surface. Schedule is subject to change. Helmets are required. 

Public Skating

$2.00 per skater. A public skate is an open, unstructured recreational skating session available to members of the general public of all ages and skill levels, focused on leisure skating and general enjoyment of the ice surface. Schedule is subject to change.

If you are accompanying a participant to a public skate program and your assistance is required for them to safely take part, you will be admitted at no charge. This applies to caregivers, support persons, or aides who are providing direct assistance on the ice or at the facility.

Sensory Skate

$2.00 per skater.  A sensory skate is a modified public skate designed to provide a quieter, calmer, and more accessible skating experience for individuals who benefit from reduced sensory stimulation, including those with autism, sensory processing differences, anxiety, or other sensory sensitivities. Schedule is subject to change.  New skate time coming October 2026.

Parent & Tot

$2.00 per adult. A parent and tot skate is a supervised introductory skating program designed for very young children (under the age of 5) accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult, focused on early skill development, comfort on the ice, and positive first experiences. Schedule is subject to change. 

Drop-in Adult Shinny

$5.00 per player. Drop-in Shinny is an informal, non-contact hockey-style session intended for casual recreational play. It is not a league, instructional, or competitive program and is designed to allow individuals to participate without prior registration. Schedule is subject to change. 

Drop-in Adult Women's Shinny

$5.00 per player. Drop-in Shinny is an informal, non-contact hockey-style session intended for casual recreational play. It is not a league, instructional, or competitive program and is designed to allow individuals to participate without prior registration. Schedule subject to change. 

Teen Stick & Puck

$2.00 per player. Stick and Puck is an individual skills-based session intended for players to practice skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting in a non-competitive environment for youth ages 13-17 only. Helmet and gloves are required. 

Tennis and Pickleball Courts

Lower Reach Courts, entrance on Ryan Street

The courts feature painted lines for both tennis and pickleball. Lighting on the courts extends play into the evening hours throughout the summer season. 

Community Centre Courts, 71A Cornelia Street West

The courts are conveniently located near the Memorial Community Centre and Youth Arena complex, providing easy access to a variety of community amenities. They are equipped with lighting to support evening use and feature painted lines for both pickleball and tennis.

Volleyball, Bocce, and Basketball Courts, Lower Reach Park

Beach Volleyball Court

Our outdoor beach volleyball court is a great place to enjoy recreational play, games, and community activities.

Bocce Ball Court

Well-maintained public bocce ball court located near shade trees and benches, offering a welcoming space for recreation and leisure. 

3-on-3 Basketball Court, entrance on Jasper Avenue

This basketball court is ideal for 3-on-3 play and features adjustable nets.

Soccer Fields, 12B Old Slys Road

Our soccer fields are located at Lower Reach Park and are available for games and practices. Field lines are maintained throughout the peak season.

Kiwanis Field (Hilltop)

This hilltop soccer field is ideal for games and practices. The field can be configured as one full-size field or divided into two mini fields to support a variety of programming needs. 

Aboud Field

This full-size soccer field is ideal for games and practices. 

McMullen Field

This field can be configured as one full-size field or divided into two mini fields making it ideal for a variety of programming games, practices, and programming needs.

This mini soccer field provides an ideal space for younger players to develop skills and participate in games and practices. 

Frost Mini Field # 1 and Mini Field # 2, entrance on Frost Street

This baseball diamond is sized for T-Ball.

Friendship Park, Old Slys Road

Friendship Park baseball diamond is suitable for hardball.

Madden Diamond, Old Slys Road

The baseball diamond is an ideal location for T-Ball.

Civitan # 1 and Civitan # 2 Diamonds, Old Slys Road

Civitan field 1 and Civitan field 2 are large baseball diamonds located across from Lower Reach Park. Their close proximity makes them an excellent venue for tournaments, league play, and community events. Ideal for softball. 

Community Centre Diamond, Lansdowne Road St W

Close to the Memorial Community Centre and Youth Arena complex, this field is a great choice for hardball games and practices.
