2024 Veteran Banner Program
To commemorate this year’s Remembrance Day, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95 in partnership with the Town of Smiths Falls and the Downtown Business Association are proud to launch the Annual Veteran Banner Program that will honour and remember local veterans who willingly served or gave their lives in service to Canada and continue to stand for our freedom.
Installation will begin on October 8th, and the banners will be displayed until after Remembrance Day.

On September 17th, 2024, the Smiths Falls Police Service made an arrest of a 33-year-old female stemming from an investigation related to breach of recognizance of bail conditions for previous IPV charges.
The accused was arrested without incident and was released from police custody on a Form 10 Undertaking with a court date to answer to his charge.

2024 Photo Contest "Hit Me With Your Best Shot"The Town of Smiths Falls is excited to launch the 2024 “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” photo contest that aims to collect the 12 best photos of Smiths Falls for the 2025 Municipal Calendar.
The 12 photos are selected through an evaluation process by the Economic Development and Tourism department and the photographers of the 12 shots will each receive $50 in Downtown Dollars as well as photo credit in the Municipal Calendar.Sep 23, 2024
