The Town of Smiths Falls is pleased to announce that the Memorial Community Centre will reopen to the public at 4:00 p.m.

The Town of Smiths Falls has temporarily closed the Memorial Community Centre arena -including the concourse- following an unusual incident that occurred during play earlier this afternoon. During a regularly scheduled ice rental, a puck deflected off the crossbar of the net, striking the sprinkler system located in the ceiling high above the playing surface.

The Town of Smiths Falls would like to invite members of the community to gather for a ceremony in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The Town of Smiths Falls is pleased to announce the generous donation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) from Member of Parliament Scott Reid and the Harmony Seniors Club.

This life-saving device has been installed in the Memorial Community Centre, adjacent to the walking concourse where it will enhance the Town’s ability to respond to cardiac emergencies and help ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and community members.
