  • Media Release: AED Donation From MP Reid and Harmony Seniors Club

    The Town of Smiths Falls is pleased to announce the generous donation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) from Member of Parliament Scott Reid and the Harmony Seniors Club.

    This life-saving device has been installed in the Memorial Community Centre, adjacent to the walking concourse where it will enhance the Town’s ability to respond to cardiac emergencies and help ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and community members.

    Beckwith Street from Chambers Street to Elmsley Street North will be closed on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM for Bike Nights on Beckwith Street.
    Residents and visitors may encounter delays while navigating the area.

    Our trusty splash pad may be a little worn out, a little creaky, and definitely getting ready for retirement—but it’s not done just yet! Thanks to a bit of elbow grease and a whole lotta love, we’re thrilled to announce that the splash pad is OPEN again for the season!
    Come cool off, make a splash, and give this old water warrior the summer it deserves. Just remember—she’s not as spry as she used to be, so please treat her gently, and be careful out.
