Summer Eats Contest 2024

The Town of Smiths Falls Economic Development and Tourism department isexcited to announce the launch of the Summer Eats contest, celebrating the diverse and deliciousflavors of locally owned restaurants.

This new initiative aims to highlight the culinary excellence present in Smiths Falls while engagingboth residents and visitors and continuing to support local food establishments. Summer Eats willreplace the previous PINIC program developed to support local restaurants during the pandemic.The contest will feature weekly themes for participants to explore and experience the wide variety ofdining options available in Smiths Falls and a chance to win $25-$50 restaurant gift certificates alongthe way.

To participate, post a photo of your meal from the designated weekly theme, tag the restaurant (orfood truck), and share details about the menu item in the comments section of the SF Summer EatsWeekly Theme post on the Experience Smiths Falls Facebook page.

The weekly theme will be posted on Monday mornings, and that post will be edited to announce thewinner the following Monday, prior to the new theme being announced. Winners will receive arestaurant gift certificate, which can be picked up at the Welcome Centre at Town Hall Monday toFriday from 9am – 4pm, or they can be mailed to the winners.

"This contest not only celebrates our vibrant food scene but also invites the community andvisitors to discover and support these culinary gems."
