Big Recycling News for Smiths Falls!
Ontario has rolled out a new, province-wide recycling program, and here’s what it means for you.
Who’s collecting now?
Recycling is now managed by Circular Materials, with Miller Waste (TOPPS Environmental Solutions) collecting your yellow/black and blue bins right here in Smiths Falls. Garbage collection stays with the Town.

So… what’s changed?
The great news is you can now recycle even more items, including:
- Flexible plastics like plastic bags, chip bags, and bubble wrap
- Foam packaging such as meat trays, takeout containers, and cups
- Tubes like toothpaste, deodorant, and hand cream tubes
