Downtown Property Owner Reminder: Roof Snow & Ice Removal

As we continue through the winter season, downtown property owners are reminded that under Section 9 (14) of the Property Standards By-law, (smithsfalls.ca/bylaws) dangerous accumulations of snow or ice must be removed from roofs.

Timely snow and ice removal helps support a safe, comfortable, and welcoming downtown for employees, customers, and visitors. These preventative measures reduce potential hazards and help keep our main streets accessible and enjoyable throughout the season.
