Female arrested –Breach:

On September 17^th, 2024, the Smiths Falls Police Service made an arrest of a 33-year-old female stemming from an investigation related to breach of recognizance of bail conditions for previous IPV charges.

The accused was arrested without incident and was released from police custody on a Form 10 Undertaking with a court date to answer to his charge.

Male Arrested - sexual assault related offences:

On September 17^th, 2024 the Smiths Falls Police Service made an arrest of a 28-year-old male stemming from a sexual assault investigation that led police to charge the offending male with several assault an sexual assault related offences.

At the conclusion of the investigation the accused was charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age x4 and sexual interference x4,

The accused was arrested without incident and was released from police custody on a Form 10 Undertaking with conditions and a court date to answer to his charges.

Female Arrested - IPV offences

On September 18^th, 2024 the Smiths Falls Police Service concluded an IPV investigation that led police to charge a 35-year-old female with assault and break and enter.

The accused attended the Smiths Falls Police Station and was arrested without incident. She was held in Police custody to await a bail hearing to answer to the charges.

Male Arrested - possession stolen property

On September 18^th, 2024 the Smiths Falls Police Service made and arrest of a local youth stemming from an investigation of a break and enter and theft that occurred in neighbouring jurisdiction.

Officer conducted and investigation and upon its conclusion had grounds to charge a local youth with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.

The charged youth attended the station and was subsequently arrested and released on a Youth Form 10 Undertaking with conditions and a court date to answer to the charge.

Male Arrested – Warrant, assault:

On September 18^th, 2024, 34 year-old Ridge MICHAEL turned himself into the Smiths Falls Police Service on an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Police entered into an assault investigation and upon the conclusion of the investigation had grounds to charge the accused with assault cause bodily harm.

The accused was arrested on the power of the outstanding warrant and was released from police custody on a Form 10 Undertaking with conditions and a court date to answer to his charge.

Male arrested on Outstanding Warrant for Domestic related Charges:

On September 19^th, 2024, the Smiths Falls Police Service working in partnership with OPP ROPE Squad arrested and charged a 43 year-old-male for breaches stemming from previous domestic-related offences.

The accused was held in Police custody awaiting a bail hearing to answer to his charges.

Male arrested- Domestic related Charges:

On September 20^th, 2024, the Smiths Falls Police Service entered into an investigation allegation of take motor vehicle without consent. The continuing investigation revealed several IPV offences as well as several Highway Traffic Act offences.

As a result of the investigation the 25 year-old male stands accused of take motor vehicle without consent, Mischief –Domestic X3, Drive under suspension X2.

The accused was held in Police custody awaiting a bail hearing to answer to his charges.
