Controlled Drug and Substance Act Warrant Executed:

On the 27th of June 2024 Smiths Falls Police with the assistance of the OPP CSCU team executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act Warrant at a residence on Lanark St.

Smiths Falls Police commenced their investigation in early April dubbing the night time project as “Project Owl” as part of the CISO (Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario) investigative grant that Smiths Falls Police were granted to target drug traffickers within the community.

As a result of this search warrant, police seized approximately 161 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 13 grams of methamphetamine (known as speed), 24 grams of crack cocaine, 150 grams of cocaine, and 18 capsules of morphine as well as over $6,000 in currency.

Charged with:

Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine

Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- crack cocaine

Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- crystal methamphetamine

Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking- morphine

Possession of Proceeds obtained by crime, are Smiths Falls residents;

Kyle Neron age 38, Carole-Ann Curran age 48, Angela Kehoe age 55, and David Surette age 21 years

Kyle Neron was further charged with fail to comply with a release order, careless storage of ammunition, firearm or weapon possession contrary to prohibition order.

Neron and Curran were held in custody pending a bail hearing. Kehoe and Surette were released on conditions with a later court date.

The total street value of the drugs are approximately $33,000.
