Male Arrested possession CDSA:
On May 10th 2024, the Smiths Falls Police Service responded to an Abbott St address for a wellbeing check on a male party. As a result of the investigation the male party was arrested for possession of a quantity of drugs under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). The accused then resisted arrest. As a result the accused was charged with possession of CDSA and obstruct/ resist peace officer.
The accused was held in police custody pending a bail hearing to answer to the charges.
Male Arrested – Warrant- Domestic Incident:
On May 11th 2024, the Smiths Falls Police Service executed an arrest warrant on a 34 year old Smiths Falls male stemming from a domestic related incident in the East end of Town. The accused male was charged with Mischief Under $5000 and Breach of his release conditions.
The accused was held in Police custody awaiting a bail hearing to answer to these charges.
Male Arrested -Domestic Incident:
On May 12th 2024, Smiths Falls Police Service responded to a domestic related complaint in the East end of Town. As a result of the investigation a 39 year old male from Smiths Falls was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault towards his partner.
The accused was held in Police custody awaiting a bail hearing to answer to these charges.
Male Arrested for Causing a Disturbance and Mischief:
On May 15th the Smiths Falls Police Service responded to a local school for reports a male causing a disturbance and damaging school property. Upon arrival on location at the school, officers observed the suspect actively engaging in mischief and damage to property. The youth was arrested without incident and charged with mischief and breach of their court ordered conditions.
The youth was released from police custody on an Undertaking with a court date to answer to the charges.
