Residential
As of January 1, 2026, Miller Waste Systems (MWS) has taken over residential recycling collection in the Town as part of a new provincial recycling program being implemented across Ontario.
This change is the result of Ontario’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program, which transfers responsibility for recycling collection and processing from municipalities to the producers of packaging, paper, and printed products. The goal of the program is to create a more consistent, efficient, and sustainable recycling system province-wide, while reducing municipal costs and improving recycling performance.
What does this mean for residents?
• Recycling collection days and routes will remain the same
• Recycling must continue to be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m.
• Daily collection times may vary, as they will be set by Miller Waste Systems
• Any future changes to accepted materials or collection guidelines will be communicated to residents.
While the Town will no longer directly manage residential recycling collection, it will continue to work with the Province and Miller Waste Systems to support a smooth transition.
For all recycling-related questions, missed collections, or service concerns, please contact Miller Waste Systems directly:

Business
As part of the new provincial recycling program, commercial properties are no longer included in the regular municipal curbside service.
To make sure your business recycling continues without interruption, the Town has partnered with Glenview Iron and Metal to collect recycling from all non-eligible locations.
