UPDATE: Deadline extended for Active Transportation Plan public input

The Town of Smiths Falls is seeking public input to inform the development of an Active Transportation Plan in Smiths Falls. To assist in the completion of the plan, a survey has been developed to garner community feedback into the process.

The survey will be available between Wednesday, July 28 and Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, inclusive.

The Active Transportation Plan will guide the development and enhancement of local active transportation networks serving walking and cycling activities. The plan will provide the foundation for improved commuting options to and from work, school, shops and running errands. The plan will also support healthy living and tourism through expanded regional route connections that promote increased recreational experiences including walking, cycling and hiking.

Local and regional tourism partners, stakeholders, and citizens of Smiths Falls are encouraged to take the time to complete the survey and participate in shaping transportation networks in Smiths Falls now and in the future.

The survey may be accessed through the following links:

Public participation through the survey closes at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 15, 2021. All comments and feedback are appreciated.
