New Visitor Information Collection Program offers Stay and Play Contest – A chance to win a two-night getaway in Smiths Falls

The Town of Smiths Falls is looking for feedback from visitors to the community in 2022 as part of the Visitor Information Collection Program. This new visitor experience survey invites visitors to provide feedback and be entered in a Stay and Play Contest for a chance to win a two-night getaway back to beautiful Smiths Falls.

The two prize packages, which include accommodations and gift certificates to local businesses and attractions, are valued at over $1,000. The contest runs from May 1 until Dec. 31, 2022.

The Stay and Play Contest was developed by the Town of Smiths Falls’ Economic Development and Tourism Department, in partnership with the Smiths Falls & District Chamber of Commerce and the Smiths Falls Downtown Business Association, to help understand and enhance tourism offerings within the municipality.

The Visitor Information Collection Program is a new initiative to assist the Town of Smiths Falls in gathering vital visitor data, including demographics, spending habits, first impressions and general experience feedback.

“Information collected through the program will assist the Town, local businesses and tourism stakeholders to build better tourism products and services and will help the Town target and tailor marketing efforts for the future,” said Julia Crowder, Manager of Economic Development and Tourism for the Town of Smiths Falls.

An annual report highlighting survey findings will be created and provided to the tourism community in 2023.
