Community Centre and walking concourse to reopen Jan. 31, 2022
The Town of Smiths Falls is pleased to announce the reopening of the Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre, including the walking concourse, effective Jan. 31, 2022. The concourse will be open seven days a week, between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with altered hours on days where there is a Rideau or Smiths Falls Bears’ game.
“We are very pleased to be able to open up services to the community as the situation continues to improve,” said Art Manhire, Director of Community Services. “The schedule will remain the same as prior to the lockdown; those who have missed games during the closure may contact us to see if accommodation is possible.”
There will be some changes to operations:
- As of Jan. 31, 2022, capacity for the community centre is restricted to 500 people maximum. Capacity for the youth arena is 125 people. These maximums will change as the provinces moves through the stages of COVID-19 recovery.
- A QR code will be required as proof of vaccination to enter the facility. If you do not have a QR code please visit covid19.ontariohealth.ca to download or print your copy.
- Masks are required in the arena at all times. Masks may be removed once engaged in sport.
As a reminder, please complete a COVID-19 self-assessment before leaving home, stay home when ill.
