TAKE NOTICE THAT applications, whether by delivery, fax, email or regular mail addressed to the undersigned, will be received from any member of the general public who desires to have their name considered for appointment to the HERITAGE HOUSE MUSEUM ADVISORY BOARD & CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTRE ADVISORY BOARD. Applicants must be residents/property owners in the Town of Smiths Falls, at least 18 years of age and Canadian Citizens. Individuals are being sought for the this Committee for a term ending November 30th, 2010. There are a limited number of members required for this committee. Applicants are requested to provide their name, address, daytime telephone number and a brief summary of your particular interests.

Calling All Artists in Smiths Falls

The Town of Smiths Falls will be conducting an assessment to inventory all its existing cultural resources within a 15km radius of its centre. The assessment will commence on September 15, 2009 and will proceed until October 13, 2009. The survey will be available online or it can be filled out during a face-to-face interview with Jeet Athukorale at an arranged time.

Our Greater Community - Evolving the Community

At this Workshop, Our Greater Community (OGC) Participants: ? Heard a presentation about the changes emerging in the North American economy ? Shared their Values, to guide the OGC Socioeconomic Development Mission. ? Generated Ideas ? Added new perspectives to the mix The Values and Ideas generated to date are listed in the following pages. Transparency and openness are cornerstones of the Project Team methodology. The Participant flip-charts have been transcribed, with adjustments made only to clarify what was written. The listings are ‘raw’, much as in the order they were recorded at the Workshop; we have also added some post-Worksop thoughts sent in from the Community. Participants are urged to review these pages and alert the Project Team to any inadvertent misinterpretations or omissions.
