Location
With a population of approximately 9,000, Smiths Falls is a town located in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Although situated inland, the area features numerous lakes and other waterways. The Rideau Canal, Ontario's only UNESCO World Heritage site, flows through the middle of the town and connects Smiths Falls to the cities of Ottawa and Kingston by the historic waterway.
Not far from the American border, Smiths Falls is located on the Canadian Pacific Railway line with close proximity to roadways that provide quick access to Ottawa and Kingston. Just outside of town is the Russ Beach Smiths Falls Montague Airport, which can accommodate small personal aircraft and midsized commercial aircraft.
