Animals apprehended by Animal Control are taken to the Lanark Animal Welfare Society (LAWS), located at 253 Glenview Rd., off County Road 43, about two kilometres west of Smiths Falls, for care.
Surrendered animals are accepted by LAWS on a space available basis and a fee does apply. Anyone wishing to surrender an animal is asked to call the shelter first at 613-283-9308 or email shelter@lanarkanimals.ca.
