Museum Hours
The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum is currently closed for museum tours October 9th-October 31st as the museum is turned into a Haunted House. The museum will still be available for tourism information. The museum will resume regular hours of operation on November 1st, Wednesday - Friday from 10:30 am - 4:30 pm, Weekends 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm or otherwise by appointment. Land Acknowledgement
The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum acknowledges the fact that Smiths Falls and the Museum are built on the land of the Algonquin Annishnaabe people and that as settlers of this area are here as uninvited guests on this land. The museum also recognizes that acknowledgement alone is not enough and that steps need to be taken towards challenging and unlearning the longstanding legacy of colonialism and racism across Canada.
Holiday Events at the Heritage House
The museum has two upcoming December Holiday events. The Holiday Heritage House and Candlelit Christmas.
The Holiday Heritage House will take place on Sunday, December 7th from 1pm - 3pm. This family friendly event will include festive special guests, wagon rides, an elf scavenger hunt, craft tables, festive treats and more.
Candlelit Christmas will take place on Thursday, December 11th from 7pm -9pm. Tour the beautifully lit and decorated Victorian museum after hours. Tour guides will be available in staggered time slots to lead guests through the museum and learn about Christmas traditions. Pre-registration is required and admission is $10 per adult.
