The Canada Revenue Agency presents this information-filled workshop on what is taxable what is exempt, becoming a registrant, accounting methods, input tax credits, how to file and remit GST/HST, and much more! GST/HST Across Borders In this presentation, the Canada Revenue Agency will review the basics of GST/HST place-of-supply rules, the nature of supplies (including goods, services and intangible personal property), when supplies are deemed to be made inside or outside Canada, and when supplies are deemed to be made in a province for determining whether GST or HST applies, etc. Speaker: George Fortier,Ottawa GST/HST Rulings Centre/Ottawa Tax Services Office Time: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm Cost: Free

Lest We Forget – The Exhibit

Inspired by the students of the Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute and the Veterans of Smiths Falls, experience a personal account of war and conflict at the Heritage House Museum. This special exhibition showcases the Lest We Forget Project, which once brought history alive in the classrooms of Smiths Falls. Follow the stories of heroes commemorated on the Smiths Falls cenotaph monument, through the young historians who brought their names to life once again.
