Cemetery
Originally known as the family burial ground for William G. Simpson, Hillcrest Cemetery located at 3540 County Road 43 West Smiths Falls was purchased in 1869 by the Town of Smiths Falls to become a publicly owned non-denominational cemetery. It is now the home to more than 10,000 residents.
If you have any questions relating to the cemetery, including if there are any remaining spaces in a family plot, where a particular plot is located, the cost of opening and closing a grave and the bylaws governing the cemetery, the cemetery office is open Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for inquiries.
