Building and Sign Permits

What is a Building Permit?
A Building Permit gives you the legal authorization to start construction of a building project in accordance with approved drawings and specifications. Building Permits are issued by the Building /Bylaw Department and are reviewed for compliance with the Ontario Building Code, the applicable municipal Zoning Bylaw and other applicable provincial and municipal regulations. Building Permits are necessary to ensure that zoning requirements, fire and structural  safety standards, and other building standards are met. What is the process for requesting the placement of a sign?
You must fill out the necessary application form for the type of sign you wish to place on private or Town property. Application forms for the appropriate Sign Permits can be found here. There is a sign bylaw you might want to review before making application.
