Animal Control
Animal Control Services are for domestic animals in the Town of Smiths Falls and can be accessed by calling 613-812-8170. Occurences outside the Town limits are the responsibility of (North & East) Twp. of Montague; (West) Twp. Drummond North Elmsley or (South) Twp. Rideau Lakes.
Animal Control Officers respond to and investigate complaints that are related to the care and control of domestic animals, including dogs off leash, keeping of animals, nuisance barking, number of pets per household, registration and fees, stray cats and dogs, dog bites, prohibited animals, etc. If you can safely apprehend the animal they stand a better chance of surviving.
